The Zamfara state government has approved the immediate reopening of some markets in the state.

In a statement by the commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara said the approval followed the satisfactory report received on the security situation in the affected communities.

The markets to be reopened with effect from this Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, include; Dansadau, Maradun, Bungudu and
Maru local government areas of the State.

The statement said while approving the reopening of the markets, the state Governor Bello Mohammed said the decision to reopen the markets was informed by the series of reports received from the communities on some Sanity in security, as well as the agreement reached between the government and the market leaders in ensuring no criminal activity takes place in the markets and lives and property of individuals in the markets are safeguarded.
