The Incoming Governor of Cross River State Senator Bassey Otu has promised to give attention to the revival of the sports sector in the State.
Speaking at Calabar Golf Club where he initiated a golf tournament in honour of his inauguration, Otu who himself a golfer, noted that sports plays an important role in youths development and the state in general.

According to him, Cross River State had produced Sports legends for national and international competitions saying the era is back.
The event was attended by visiting golfers across the country.
