Nigeria’s main opposition Party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has picked holes in President Bola Tinubu’s Independence Day broadcast, especially regarding claims on the growth in the economy, security situation and the fight against corruption.
Addressing Journalists on Thursday, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Debo Ologunagbac challenged President Tinubu to make public, savings made so far from the subsidy removal and how it’s being utilized.
The PDP also described President’s broadcast as uninspiring, boring, a speech that sparks of lies, asking the Tinubu-led government to live in reality with ordinary Nigerians.
On latest comments credited to the National Secretary of the PDP, Samuel Anyanwu on a brewing rift between him and the Party’s National Chairman, Illiya Damagum, the spokesman said there is no crisis as members are united and working for the upcoming Elective Convention as well as the success of the Party in general.
