The National industrial court, NIC has fixed the 28th of June to hear the suit filed by some lawyers asking the court to compel the NJC and the national assembly to increase the salaries and allowances of judges in the country in the light of current economic reality.
Justice Obaseki-Osagie fixed the date to enable the National judicial commission, NJC, and other defendants in the suit to file all necessary documents in respect of the case.
The National Assembly had earlier asked the National Industrial Court, NIC, in Abuja to allow an out-of-court settlement in a suit instituted against it and three others, challenging the poor salaries of Judicial Officers in the country.
