The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has inaugurated nine out of ten newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioners, following their confirmation by the Senate.
They were appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in October 2023.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, told the new RECS to maintain the commission’s tradition of regular consultations with critical stakeholders, to add value to their work.
