INEC canvasses e-voting for transparent electoral process

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says, it is committed to a better and more transparent electoral process in Nigeria.

It urges the National Assembly to consider an amendment of the electoral laws to accommodate the e-voting system.

The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, said this during the demonstration of the use of electronic voting machines by vendors, at INEC Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
