The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, has promised to conduct transparent and inclusive elections in the July 16th governorship election in Osun state.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Professor Abdulganiyu Raji gave the assurance during a voter education implementation workshop held in Osogbo, the state capital.
Professor Raji described the workshop as an avenue to enlighten the public on their civic responsibility
He said the stages that the commission will follow during election is what will be introduced to the trainees at the workshop.
The workshop participants are INEC’s electoral officers and assistant officers deployed to all local governments in the State.
The state resident Commissioner disclosed that INEC will start distributing Permanent voter cards to those who registered between June and December, 2021, adding that 370,000 voter cards produced in 2018 remain uncollected.
