The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the recently concluded People’s Democratic Party ad hoc congress in Imo State in contravention of the party guidelines for the conduct of congresses.

In a document signed by the State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner the Electoral Commission insists the party did not bring original results to the venues while also noting the absence of materials, including sensitive ones, as earlier reported by the Electoral officers sent to the ward venues.

This development follows a ruling from an Abuja Court stopping INEC from accepting any list of candidates from the just concluded PDP Ad hoc Congress in Imo State.
