The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the Kogi West Senatorial election, Smart Adeyemi, winner.
INEC’s Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Olayide Lawal, announced Adeyemi winner of the election having polled 88,373 votes against the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, with 62,133 votes.
Prof. Rufus Aiyenigba of the Social Democratic Party came third with 659 votes.
