The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), along with other electoral stakeholders, on Wednesday inspected election materials to be distributed to all 18 Local Government areas of Ondo State ahead of the governorship election holding on Saturday.
At the Central Bank of Nigeria’s branch in Akure, the state capital, INEC inspected the ballot papers and result sheets for the election.
The election stakeholders present during the inspection include representatives of political parties, security agencies, observers, media, and civil society organisations.
After guiding them on the inspection of the materials, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Oluwatoyin Babalola told journalists inspection of the sensitive materials was a show of the transparency of the pre election process
