The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed elections in 141 polling units in four wards in Yenegoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

Addressing journalists at the presidential collation center in Abuja on Saturday, the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, said the affected wards are Ward 4, Ward 6, Ward 8 and Ward 16 respectively.

He said elections in the affected wards were marred by either late arrival of INEC officials and materials as well as security breaches, noting that the elections will be held on Sunday, February 26.

The Commission also rescheduled National Assembly Elections in some Local Government Areas in Edo central Following omission of the Labour Party logo on the ballot papers.

The affected local government areas are Esan North, Esan South, and Igueben.

The Commission moved the elections to March Eleven, adding that it will enable it to print new ballot paper with the missing Political Party Logo.
