Infrastructure Development : FG completes 46 road projects in Tertiary Institutions Nationwide

The Federal Government says, it has completed the construction and repair of forty-six road project interventions in tertiary institutions across the country.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola,
made this known, during the inauguration and handing over of the 1.50-kilometre Road project at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau, in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, while inaugurating the 1.50-kilometre Road Project at the Federal College of Education, (Technical), Gusau in Zamfara State capital, disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is committed to improving the lives of the citizens, by providing good infrastructure, that would boost economic activities in the country.

The minister who was represented by the Federal Controller of Works, in-charge of Zamfara State, Engineer Hassan Mohammed, said the road has a total length of 1.50-kilometres, which was constructed by the Federal Ministry of Works at the Federal College of Education Technical, Gusau, in Zamfara State, to ensure better and conducive teaching and learning environment for the staff and students of the college.

He charged all staff and students of the institution to maintain the road, which was reconstructed, to ease their movement within the campus.

The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Hassan Nasiha, and the Emir of Gusau, Ibrahim Bello, in their separate remarks, commended the effort of the Federal Government at executing developmental projects in the college and assured to contribute their quota, to the advancement of education in the state in particular, and the country in general.

The Emir of Gusau, Ibrahim Bello, thanked the Federal Government for the timely intervention on the infrastructural decay in some higher institutions of learning in the country.

The Acting Provost of the Federal College of Education, (Technical), Gusau, Dr Umar Bello, said the road project means a lot to the institution and the entire community, as it would facilitate the movement of humans and vehicles, within the school premises.
