The Federal Ministry of Works is to review costs of all ongoing projects under the ministry that are having augmentations.
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi disclosed this when he visited sites of some ongoing federal road projects in Ebonyi State, in continuation of his extensive inspection tour of the South East geopolitical zone.
Umahi told Journalists that the planned costs review aims to ensure due diligence, noting that all the regional heads of the Minisrty are to work with a team of consultants to achieve the goal.
He wondered why some road construction projects could linger for more than four years without completion.
Among the roads inspected are, the ongoing Abakaliki – Afikpo highway and the Nguzu Edda – Ohafia road.
