Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company is insisting that Imo State Government is owing it N2.5b for the purchase of vehicles and spares. The company in a statement, accused the Imo State Government of “watering down facts,” in response to Innoson’s allegations of 30th July, on debt owed by the state.
The company, sued the state government last week at a High Court in Anambra State, over its inability to pay 2.5 billion Naira debt for vehicles and spare parts purchased by the government.
Innoson also stated that the inability of the state government to pay the debt has made it difficult for the company to fulfil its loan obligations to Banks.
The state government had denied the claims through its Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, saying the company was covering up some facts and attempting to blackmail the state government.
