Some residents of the Allawa community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State are deserting their community.
The deserting community members are leaving in search of safety in the nearby Pandogari community, in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
A statement by Co-convener, Concerned Shiroro Youths, Yusuf Qoqi, said that the recent persistent attacks by gunmen have forced them out of their ancestral village.
The statement further said that the Internally Displaced Persons are presently in an open environment without security.

Yusuf Qoqi called on relevant stakeholders to come to the aid of the people.
He expressed fears of a possible outbreak of disease, as they are contending with harsh weather in the camp.
The gunmen had last week dislodged the Joint Security Task Force Camp and attacked Allawi community.
They also broke into houses and shops, carting away foodstuff and drugs.
