Following recent killings of two monarchs and kidnapping of school children in Ekiti state, the Nigeria Army has deployed more personnel to secure the state.
The Commander of the 32nd Artillery Brigade, Brig ,Gen. John Lar, who addressed the Army Special Force on arrival said the soldiers were sent to Ekiti by the Chief of Army Staff Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja to hunt down criminals operating in ekiti state.
Brigadier General Lar said the troops were on a special mission to combat criminals and other outlaws who have occupied the forests.
The special adviser on security to the Ekiti state Governor also appealed to residents to cooperate with the deployed military men in the discharge of their duties.
