Hundreds of students of the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH, led by their Union leaders have cried out to the State government and the security agencies to provide a safe and conducive environment for their learning, especially in the hostels.
The students made this known, following the killing of a graduated student who came for his clearance in preparation for his NYSC.
They said CRUTECH environment has become hostile for students following incessant harassment, stealing and raping by hoodlums in their hostels, saying urgent action must been taken by the management, government and the security agencies.
