Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has ordered an immediate relaxation of the nine months (10 pm to 6 am) curfew imposed in the state.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita, Ayade said the restrictions of movement are now between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 am, effective from Monday 2nd of August 2021.

The statement enjoys members of the public to go about their lawful businesses between 6 am and 12 midnight, saying the relaxation was a result of improvement in the security situation in the state.

Governor Ayade had during the October 2020 end Sars protest, imposed a curfew between 6 pm and 6 am and later reviewed to 10 pm and 6 am respectively.
