The Nigeria Army has said that it will continue to provide military aid to civil authority and power in order to guarantee the country’s security, charging its solders towards ensuring adequate security for the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The General Officer Commanding 3 Armoured Division, Jos, Major-General Ibrahim Ali stated this while handing over new vehicles from Army Headquarters to 33 Artillery Brigade in Bauchi, North-East Nigeria.

The new vehicles were provided through the Chief of Army Staff intervention to the Brigade for improved capacities in furtherance of the vision to have a professional Army ready to accomplish assigned mission for the discharge of its duties.
Amid the plethora of security challenges bedeviling the country, the Army said that the newly introduced vehicles would be commensurate to force multiplier, improved firepower capabilities, collective productivity and professionalism.
The General Officer Commanding had earlier renamed and commissioned a renovated building, and streets at the Brigade Headquarters as part of the activities.
