The Nigerian Army said it has introduced some new courses that will equip soldiers with the required skill to tackle the contemporary security challenges, especially in the northeastern region of the country.
The Nigerian Army disclosed this as 606 soldiers completed one of the newly introduced courses at a ceremony at the 20 Battalion Barrack Serti, in Taraba State.
Brigadier General Musa Dandami, the Acting GOC of 3 Division Jos, said the trainees have been impacted with technical, leadership, and intelligence skills, to face the new wave of insecurity, especially in NorthEast Nigeria.
The soldiers were trained for three months at the 20 Battalion, Serti, in Taraba State.
Criminal activities have evolved in Nigeria over the years, and the result is a surge in daring criminal activities, peculiar to different regions of the country.

613 student officers of the Nigerian Army were enrolled for the leadership and Regimentation training, and 606 graduated, 6 could not meet the required scores to graduate, while 1 died.
