Nigeria’s fight against insecurity appears to have received a boost with the delivery of twenty units of the improved version of the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) .
A Statement released by Defence Headquarters, says a brief ceremony held on Wednesday where the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Ibrahim Abubakar handed over the documents and keys of 20 Armoured Personnel Carriers to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.

The APCs are an updated version with improved weapons and communication systems that can locate adversaries from distance and engage them effectively.
The Permanent Secretary during the handing over, said he is happy with the synergy existing among the arms of the Nigerian Military.
He also expressed satisfaction with the decision to contract the manufacture of the APCs locally, describing it as a development that willl save money. especially foreign exchange and create employment for Nigerians.
The Chief of Defence Staff. pledged to put the carriers to optimum use especially in ongoing operations to rid the country of insecurity.
