Joint security operatives led by service commanders in Cross River State have moved to identify blacks spots where kidnappers and other criminals use for ferrying their unsuspected victims.

The move according to the service commanders became necessary following a recent attempt to kidnap some expertriates at the Ayade industrial park within Calabar metropolis.
Led by the Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande, the joint security commanders include The Nigeria Army, Navy and the Directorate of State Services
The joint security team says a threat to one is a threat to all which has now been adopted as the new security slogan in Cross River State, aimed at sparing no criminals .
Some of the private security personnel who sustained injuries during the kidnap attempt on the expertriates said the criminal make shift camps of the the kidnappers have been neutralised by the security operetives.
Other places identified as flashpoints by the service commanders include, the riverine University of Calabar village Communities and that of the Teaching Hospital.
