Imo state Governor Hope Uzodimma has called on traditional rulers to work with the council Chairmen in the war against criminals operating in the state.
The Governor made the call at the inauguration of the traditional Rulers council from the 27 local government areas of the state
In recent times, insecurity in imo state has become worrisome, sending most residents into a state of fear.
Security challenges range from kidnapping, killings, terrorism to destruction of property .
Governor uzodimma has been upbeat, trying to find lasting solution to this negative trend.
As he inaugurated the 27 man traditional rulers council from different local government areas, the Governor said the Royal Fathers should mentor and persuade the youths to shun all forms of criminalities.
Chairman of the newly Inaugurated traditional rulers council, His Royal Highness Eze Emmanuel Okeke promised that the Monarchs would show commitment to the task of restoring peace and order in Imo state.
Highlight of the event was the reinstatement of 15 Monarchs earlier stripped of their staff of office by the administration of Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
