Internal Security : GOC 2 Division, Nigerian Army Visits Kogi, Assures Residents Of Adequate Security

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army , Major General Obinna Onubogu,
The Nigerian Army has re-assured the people of Kogi State of adequate protection of lives and property to enable them live decent lives.

Major General Obinna Onubogu gave the assurance during his maiden operational visit to the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, at the Chari-Maigumeri Barrack in Lokoja, the kogi state capital.

Since his assumption of office as the General Officer Commanding, 2 Division, Nigerian Army ,
on the 13th of March 2024, Major General Obinna Onubogu has continued to ensure that no area of his responsibility will serve as a breeding ground for criminals.

Major General Onubogu noted that nothing would be spared to ensure that his Area of command which includes Kogi State, remains safe and secure.

His maiden visit to Kogi State is to motivate troops with the assurance that, they are not alone in defending the territorial integrity of the Country.

After receiving security details from the Commander, 12 brigade Nigerian Army, Major General Onubogu said the military has significantly reduced the spate of armed robbery, kidnapping, communal clashes in Kogi State.

He commended the kogi state government under governor Usman Ododo for providing facilities for troops to remain in their operational areas and assured troops that the Nigerian army places high premium on the welfare of personnel as they continue their selfless service for the Country.
