The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has called on the Federal Government to deploy military to Cross River State during the forthcoming Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Election, saying only the military can guarantee a peaceful poll in the state.
Factional chairman of IPAC, Comrade Anthony Attah Bisong , made the call during a media briefing with journalists at NUJ Press Centre Calabar
He explained that the military and other security agencies lived above board, during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

Attah said there was palpable tension in Cross River especially in the Central and some flash Points in Southern Cross River, and military presence will go a long way to reduce tension.
The Political Parties advisory group commended INEC for the outcome of the last Presidential and National Assembly elections In Cross River State, Affirming that it reflects the wishes of the people.
