Reports from Enugu and Abia State say there is a scanty movement of persons and vehicles, despite the suspension of the weekly Monday’s sit-at-home, earlier declared by the proscribed South East region-based separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
In Enugu metropolis, the movement was scanty at Otigba Junction, Kponkiti Road, Ogui, IMT, and Presidential Roads, which usually witness heavy traffic on Monday mornings, when guardians take their wards to school.

But the story is different in the densely populated Abakpa area, a suburb of Enugu city, as local commercial buses are conveying mainly students and pupils to schools, which are on the end of session examinations.
Reports from Umuahia said, some shops and businesses have opened, while private and public vehicles are moving on the roads.
This is despite rumoured threats of attack on those who may disobey the weekly Monday’s civil action, called by IPOB.
Normal activities are going on in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The ever-busy Vanco Junction, Water Works, Ogoja, Afikpo, Kpirikpiri Roads in the city center have picked up on human and vehicular movements.
