As the weeks go by, compliance with the sit-at-home action imposed by the proscribed separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the South East region of Nigeria, is seemingly gaining sympathy.

This is even as the separatist agitation group had itself reversed the order, making it operational only on the days Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader, who is in custody, will appear in court to face trial.

AIT crew that monitored parts of Enugu metropolis, reports that residents are no longer ready to leave their homes on Monday mornings.
The usually very busy Golf- Estate – Newmarket axis of the Enugu – Onitsha Expressway was deserted, while the adjourning market shops were shadows of their old self.
All the major markets and even the local street traders, shops and banks were all under lock and keys.
Some locals who spoke to AIT News behind camera claimed that they are part of the sit-at-home, in solidarity with the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu who is in the Directorate of State Services, DSS facility.
Security operatives were spotted at strategic locations and flashpoints in the Enugu metropolis, but the situation remained generally peaceful at the time of this report.
