The Islamic Development Bank, ISdB is seeking the partnership of media giant, DAAR Communications PLC as part of its efforts to ensure that Nigerians and the world clearly understand its role and impact in promoting sustainable development.
Senior officials of the Bank during a visit to Abuja headquarters of the media conglomerate noted that Nigeria is the gateway to Africa and the right partnership to help in ensuring inclusive development must be created.

ISdB was created in 1975 and is currently made up of 57 member countries. Nigeria joined the institution in 2005 and since then several projects have been implemented in the country with funding from the bank.
Following a leadership change at the ISdB, a team from the Communications and External Relations Department in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia led by Thamer Baazeem has identified DAAR Communications plc as a key news organisation to work with from Nigeria. The visitors speak on their activities which key into the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs but add that many of the Bank’s projects are not known to Nigerians
With several countries been secular states including Nigeria, the team believes there are misconceptions about the Bank which need to change.
For the Management of DAAR Communications PLC led by the Board Chairman, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr the media conglomerate is ready to support the Islamic Bank in telling its story especially that many of its projects are directed at helping those at the grassroots.
Part of the plan will see DAAR Communications PLC provide coverage for the ISDBs annual and Board of Governors meetings, the first state visit by the Bank’s President to Nigeria among other agreements to be reached in the days ahead.
