The Delta State Police Command says it has recovered the remains of one of the Issele-uku bank robbers killed during a gun duel after their operation at the new generation bank in Aniocha-North Local Government Area of the State.
State Police Commissioner, Ari Muhammed who made the disclosure during an on the spot assessment of the bank robbery incident says preliminary assessment shows the bank electronic doors were shattered with dynamites.
Muhammed while denying that security operatives fled for safety from the Police Station near the robbery incident also said there are indications of an internal informant from the bank to have enabled the successful operation of the robbers.
The Police boss who also visited the nearby Police Station to assess the damages at the Station said among the three persons who lost their lives during the robbery incident were a Police Inspector, a local vigilante officer and an unfortunate passerby.
While soliciting more concerted efforts from residents in curbing crimes in the State, Ari Muhammed said more officers of the command are on a serious manhunt to arrest the rest of the fleeing robbers.
