The Leadership of the Plateau State chapter, of the Jama”atu Nasril Islam JNI, Under the leadership of His Royal Highness the Emir Of Wase, Dr Muhammad Abdullah, has debunked Rumours making the rounds that, it planned a protest following the recent killings in Jos.
In a statement signed by its Director ICT & NGO Matters in the State, Lawal Ishaq, the JNI said that the message, which has gone viral in the social media, notably WhatsApp is not true.
The statement added, that ” JNI as the custodian of the Jos Central Mosque, has not given permission to any individual or groups, to carry out any form of activities within its premises”.

While calling on all citizens to observe the various curfews imposed by the government on Jos North, Jos South, and Bassa local government areas, the JNI said that it is firmly committed to ensuring that lasting peace is restored to Jos and its environs and it is therefore urging the general public, to disregard the message in circulation as nothing but handwork of mischief makers and crisis victims.
