Joint Security Team Kill 6 Suspected Bandits In Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command says its operatives have in collaboration with other sister agencies, have killed six suspected notorious bandits terrorising Ningi and Giade Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.

The Commissioner of Police, Auwal Mohammed, disclosed this during a Press conference, held at Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State, North East Nigeria.

Upon receiving what they described as good news, the residents of Giade town trooped to the Local Government Divisional Police Headquarters, to see for themselves, the corpses of the suspected bandits allegedly terrorising their area.

Addressing journalists, Bauchi State Commissioner Of Police, Auwal Mohammed, said the success was achieved through intelligence gathering and the combined efforts of the Police and local hunters.

CP Auwal Mohammed said, that among the suspected terrorists killed, was one notorious gang leader, Rulwanu, who was alleged to have killed dozens of people, among them his former girlfriend and her child, after getting married to another person.

Speaking on behalf of the affected community, the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Giade Local Government Area, Usman Mohammed, and the District Head of Giade, Abdukadir Mohammed, thanked the security agencies for their diligence, in the fight against insecurity across the State.

Items said to have been recovered from the suspected bandits include, three AK47 rifles and hundreds of live ammunition, among others.
