Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has ordered an immediate closure of the collapsed Saint Academy School in Jos, where 22 lives were lost
The Governor, who arrived at the scene of the incident on Saturday after cutting short his foreign trip to return to the state, also Ordered a judicial inquiry to ascertain the facts relating to the incident.
It’s a day after the St. Academy School collapsed which claimed 22 lives and left many others critically injured.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang who had to cut short his foreign trip to attend to the situation back home arrived at the scene of the incident on Saturday and ordered the immediate closure of the school.
In Addition, the Governor, ordered a full investigation of the incident and the arrest of artisanal miners operating around the residential areas, highlighting concerns over safety risks posed by mining activities in populated areas.
Governor Mutfwang also visited Bingham and Ola Hospital where he pledged that the Government would cover the medical bills for those Injured.
