Two groups of protesters were loudly present at two key locations where Nigerians gathered to mark the June 12 Democracy Day in Lagos.
At the Ikeja Under Bridge where activists gathered in protest against bad governance, another group of Nigerians dressed in national colours of green Caps and white vests were seen in celebratory mood commending the Lagos and federal governments.
Speaking on their motive, the activists and other Nigerians who bemoaned the economic hardship and insecurity among other problems, demanded for an end to bad governance in the country.
However, the group in white and green made up of mostly women commended the government both at the state and federal levels with songs praising president Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
As the protesters moved to Ojota for a continuation of their demonstration, the pro-government group also moved to the venue to voice their opinion.
It then became a battle of voice and noise of some sort as protest march to Gani Fawehinmi Park terminated abruptly at Kudirat Abiola way with group leaders alleging police connivance with pro government demonstrators to make further procession impossible
