Four suspected kidnappers have been killed by operatives of the special anti-robbery squad in a gun battle along the Abaji Lokoja highway.
Eye witness account has it that the criminals had planned to stage a massive attack on different communities on the axis but were repelled by the local vigilante and SARS operatives stationed in Achabo community.

Four of the kidnappers were said to be killed in the gunfight while five others were arrested in a faceoff that lasted several minutes.
AIT gathered that the counter operation was largely influenced by the local vigilante group who provided credible intelligence to security agencies.
As at the time if this report, the bodies of the victims were being evacuated to ease the traffic on the axis.
The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, ASP Mariam Yusuf is yet to react to the development.
