The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the election of Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governor of Edo State.
A three-man panel of the appellate court led by Justice Mohammed Danjuma, unanimously held that the appeal by the PDP Candidate, Asue Ighodalo, was unmeritorious and dismissed it, affirming Okpebolor as winner of the September 21, 2024, election.

However, Ighodalo and the PDP have rejected the judgment and says they will appeal at the Supreme Court
