The planned arraignment of Rights Activist and 2023 Presidential candidate in Nigeria, Omoyele Sowore, was stalled as a result of non service of the 5-count cyber crime related charge on him.

When proceedings kicked off, the Director of Public Prosecution from the Ministry of Justice told the Court that they were ready to arraign Sowore, X CORPORATION, and META (FACEBOOK) INC, as 1st to 3rd Respondents, respectively.

Sowore’s Counsel, Marshal Abubarkar, told the Court that they had not been served.

The Counsel for the 3rd Respondent also aligned himself with Marshal’s submission, noting that he was just served in Court.

However, the 2nd defendant was not represented.

This prompted the Court to adjourn the matter to October 27, 2025.

Details later.
