Governor Bala Mohamed has approved the suspension of the Executive Chairperson, Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency, BASOVCA, Hassana Arkila.
In a statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Muhktar Gidado, the suspension is with immediate effect, in order to allow for proper investigation into the affairs of the Agency following alleged misconduct.

Consequently, she is directed to handover the affairs of the Agency to the most senior officer in the organisation pending the outcome of an investigation that has been instituted by Government against allegations of misconduct
BASOVCA is an Agency created during the administration of Governor Isa Yuguda to be financed by 1% deduction from the salaries of civil servant as well as some percentage from the salaries of political appointees.
