The Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Ighoho has been released by Benin Republic Government.
It is freedom for the 49-year-old separatist after 231 days in the custody of Benin Republic prison following his arrest on July 19, 2021.

His release was made known in a statement by the umbrella body of the Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, on Monday.
The Communications Secretary to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Maxwell Adeleye, explained that Igboho was released to Professor Banji Akintoye and the French language expert, Professor Wale Adeniran.
Sunday Igboho fled Nigeria after the deadly raid on his residence on July 2, 2021, by the Department of State Services, DSS, which left 2 persons dead and others detained.
He was later arrested in Benin Republic on his way to Germany on July 19, 2021.
