Three students of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi in Benue state have been abducted by gunmen. State Police Public Relations Officer, Sewuese Anene who confirmed the unfortunate incident that occurred on the campus on Sunday night said the Police Commissioner has ordered a full scale investigation into the abduction.

An earlier statement by the Director of Information, Protocol and Public Relations of the University, Rosemary Waku did not specify the number of students but said the institution was yet to hear from the students or their captors since the sad incident.
A worrisome development is coming less than a week after the abduction of students of Greenfield University in Kaduna State.
