Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have ambushed travelers in Toto local government area of Nasarawa state and killed a state University lecturer. Nine persons who were traveling along Toto LGA of the state were also kidnapped.
Chairman Toto local government area of the state, Nuhu Dauda who confirmed to AIT through a telephone conversation said. the incident took place Tuesday afternoon along mungi sharp Conner Buga Gwari, Gadabuke area of Toto LGA.
Dauda said the kidnapped victims were traveling in three vehicles and were intercepted by the gunmen who matched them into the bush.
The late Salihu Salihu a lecturer with the Nasarawa State University was among those kidnapped but his lifeless body was later found in the bush near the road.
He said the kidnappers have not made any contact to any of the relatives of the victims.

Meanwhile, the Nasarawa state police public relations officer Nansel Rahman told AIT that the police command is not aware of the development but will investigate the matter.
