The strike action embarked upon by petroleum tanker drivers has been suspended, less than twenty four hours after the commencement of the industrial action.
In an interview with ait.live this Tuesday, Chairman of the Lagos Council of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG Tayo Aboyeji said the Union had to suspend the strike action following the prompt intervention by the Lagos state government to look into the challenges faced by members in the cause of discharging their duties in the state.

Aboyeji urged Lagos residents not to panic, as loading of petroleum products from the various tank farms has commenced following the suspension of the strike.
