The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Stepen Adi Odey, as the winner of the Cross River North senatorial bye-election.
INEC Returning Officer and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Professor Ameh Dennis Akoh, said Dr. Odey polled 129,207 votes.
The runner-up is the APC candidate, Joe Odey Agi, who scored 19,165 votes. The valid votes in the bye-election were 149,794 while 2,206 were rejected out of the 152,000 votes that were cast.

Meanwhile, Mary Godwin Akwaji of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has also been declared the winner of Obudu State Constituency bye-lection.
The returning officer, Professor Abel Ezeozha, said she scored 32,166 votes to defeat her APC opponent, Abor Adajeh Godwin, who polled 3,546 votes.
