The rescheduled council elections in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State in North-West Nigeria has been won by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chairmanship candidate, Francis Sani after a keen contest with large turn out of voters.

The returning officer of the chairmanship election, Professor Nuhu Garba, declared Sani the winner of the election having secured 28,771 votes to defeat the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, John Hassan, who scored 19,509 votes.
