Scarcity of Premium motor spirit otherwise known as Petrol has hit the commercial city of kano.

Reports on Monday says Most fueling stations remain closed resulting in major roads free of vehicular traffic.

The few fueling stations that are open for business are overwhelmed with apprehensive vehicle owners who want to fill their tanks.

Long fuel queues also surfaced in Abuja Nigeria’s federal capital and Taraba state last week creating fears among the populace that there is imminent increase in pump price which the Federal Government denied.
But operators, had warned of the looming petrol scarcity as over 90 per cent of trucks, conveying petroleum products, are stucked in different parts of the country, especially in the Okpella area of Edo, Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti, Maradi in Niger and some parts of Oyo, among others.
