The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the safe rescue of all the 20 medical students and House Officer abducted in Otukpo LGA eight days ago.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Sewuese Anene in a message to AIT.live said “Kidnap Victims rescued. Details will be released tomorrow morning please”

It will be recalled that the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun had on Wednesday deployed Tactical Squad for the rescue operation.
On August 15, the 20 medical students and one house officer from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos were abducted while on their way to Enugu State to attend a Catholic fellowship convention.
