A private jet operated by Flybird on Sunday morning crash landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano State, North-West Nigeria.
A souce within the Airport who provided the information to AIT.live on condition of anonymity says the aircraft was carrying 11 passengers, including three crew members, and crash landed at about 9.30am local time.
The plane with registration number 5NISB departed Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja and experienced failure of landing gear on arrival in Kano.
The source said all the passengers were successfully evacuated without anyone sustaining any injuries.
Although aviation authorities are yet to issue an official statement, the source said a detailed investigation is being conducted after which a formal report with be made.
