Armed operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and Department of State Services, DSS on Monday sealed up the Ondo State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Akure to prevent a protest by youths of the party demanding the whereabouts of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu after he has been absent from the State since April 2023.

The armed security operatives numbering about 50 had stormed the PDP Office as early as 6am to prevent the youths from protesting.

Staff of the Secretariat were also prevented from gaining access into their offices in the complex.
