Governors of the 5 states in Nigeria’s South-East Geo-political Zone are meeting behind closed doors in Enugu State.
The agenda of the regional meeting is not made public. However the last time the Governors met the discussion was on the formation of a regional security outfit which framework was supposed to be fine-tuned for consideration at their next meeting which is this one currently in session.
With the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the country including the region since March this year when a lockdown was imposed it is certain that the response to the pandemic will be on the agenda.
ait.live gathered that present at the meeting are the Governors of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi who is the Chairman of the Forum and those of Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who is the host and Imo State Hope Uzodinma who is attending for the first time since he assumed office.

The Governors of Abia State, Victor Ikpeazu and Anambra State, Willie Obiano are represented by their deputies.
