The locals say it took the prompt intervention of the military and other security forces to pursue the terrorists to the bush. If not, they would have abducted more people in the town.

The terrorists only succeeded in going with the nine persons who are now in their hands.

“We thanked the security forces for coming to rescue us. Otherwise, the terrorists would wreak a lot of havoc in our town. They came promptly and fired at the terrorists, and chased them to the bush.” they said.

The Police authorities in Zamfara State are yet to make any official statement about the latest abduction, and they are not responding to calls or text messages.
