Principal officers of the Benue State Government have tested positive to the dreaded Coronavirus as the State records 32 new cases.
Those affected include the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Terwase Orbunde, Secretary to the State Government, Anthony Ijohor and the Head of the State Civil Service, Veronica Onyeke.
It was earlier reported that the the Governor’s wife, Dr. Eunice Ortom, her son and some of her staff members at the Government House also tested positive for the virus. The test result of State Governor Samuel Ortom has however returned negative tested negative.
Benue State now has 97 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 infection.
